Hi Onye!

I was pleased to see your Friend's request.

Couldn't help but to take notice of your projects. Your weaving is unique!  I really enjoy seeing something different, because that's what design is all about.

Last night I finished a bracelet, which has taken me (ah!) probably 4-5 days. Was pleased with the results. It is done in a soft med. greenish bead, with gold beads intermingled. I had weaved a cylinder from a spiral, then ran a wire thru. it. It was further enhanced by weaving other beads into the closure, and the wooden cabachon, which I sketched and painted really put a spin on it. the cabachon was encased in wooden beads. Pearls and other beads were also added to this. The design I sketched was one in a Rainforest series. I am a fine artist, and will sketch, burn, or whatever on cabachons, which I design. They could be on wood, clay, or whatever. Anyway, can only say, it was well worth the effort. My bro. really liked the look. Once I find out how to put my subjects onto the blasted web, then I will share them with you too. Normally, I go to beading class on Fridays, but today I am under the weather. Like most people affected by weather changes, I had a second bout with the same dargone virus. It won't keep me chained though, because I'm back to finishing off another piece -- one which was being done simultaneously. this one is a Spiral -- the color of the sea. My nickname is MERMAID, even though I live in the desert. I'm from the East, and lived in the Cape Cod area, out of Boston (also pronounced Bawstin). Ha! Ha! My accent is tricky to most people. Ahem! Anyway, the second piece will more than likely be ornamented with a clay shell, accompanied by heart shaped pearls. Ya gotta know that more will be included too.

Well, I will close for the moment. If you have a chance, I'd be glad to know what you're up to. I'm a Beadaholic, and most of us are (once we complete our first project). I've actually beaded for a number of years, but have met some nice people in my classes. Have alot of projects on the back burner. Just bought a Tumbler (for clay). I'm psyched!! First, want to finish my project, but the focal bead on this project is clay -- so that will be my current priority. Enjoy the Peyote, N'debele, Right. Love to paint, and want to incorporate that into my work. I am getting ready to return to one of my other loves -- wire wrapping. Signed up for a course with Preston Reuter, whom is one of the best. Had watched this program for a bit (last summer to be exact), and every year around this time he reduces the cost. So, it normally goes for $500, which I'd have to sell pencils on a corner to afford. The price for now is $139, which is a steal. You might want to check him out too, because he also gives free information on the internet on his Wire Wrapping Website. The wire stuff coming now is unique. Have studied alot of classes, including: Jewelrysmithing, Stained Glass and Design, but the Jewelrysmithing one was a long time ago. Just am returning to it, because it was neat!! The Stained Glass I took, so that I can also incorporate that into my Jewelry (Cabachone of sort).

When I grow up, I'd like to be a professional. Ha! Ha!

Anyway, I am definitely signing off for the moment, and I'll really enjoy sharing whatever we can. This is the beauty of art, in whichever phase it might be (sharing). I love to share, and that to me is what it's all about. I'll just mention one thing -- my sis (Ro) always tells me that -- "Anything you do Di has to include changes". Ha! Ha! I always enjoy changing things around.

It was nice hearing from you.

MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS YOU, AND I KNOW THAT YOU ARE BLESSED BECAUSE OF THE PEACE IN YOUR SMILE.

REGARDS,

DIANA (MERMAID)

Hi!

My name is Diana (alias--Diana QM), and I enjoyed reading your bio. I, too, feel very strongly that design is design, and that it is not worthy to be called design unless it is just that. I have studied all kinds of Beading, and still attend some classes, when I am home in Vegas.

"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me" too. Amen! I mean that in all sincerity. Today I am reminded of how precious a gift life is to us (in Jesus), because my brother passed away this morning. Although I nudged him in the way of the bible, as he became older -- he was very stubborn. So, part of my heart is broken, and I have chosen to allow GOD to cradle it close to His heart (as He has in the past).

My beading has been such a gift to me, and He has Blessed me immensely. I enjoy all kinds of beading, and love to weave, and improvise wherever possible. I am also delving into clay, and enjoy studying all the concepts of design.

I was reading your bio, and it was very entharestine! I, too, enjoy George Winston, and jazz too. Actually, I am a Libra, and enjoy all kinds of music. My dad played a Mandolin, by ear. My parents were both Europeon, and that is the better, fascinating part of me (I have to say), My Mom was a Madeira Embroiderer, and always taught us, not to be afraid to try our hands at all kinds of things. She always would say, "The failior is not to try at all". When you stop to think of it, those words are pearls of wisdom.

God has been so gracious to me, and I am truly Blessed. He has given me a Blessing of creativity, and this has traveled with me through my many journies. I also am an artist, and am currently working at creating many designs. Have some nice beading friends, and we have alot of laughs when we get together. I studied with a lady, Jacqui, at home, and she was tremendously gifted. I enjoy Beadweaving -- N'dbele, RAW, Peyote, all all forms falling under that category.

How long have you been beading? I noticed that you have your own shop. How do you do with this? I am in the process of finally trustingggggg in my credentials. It's amazing how it gets you by the neck, or should I say (his nibbs). I am growing in the Lord, and He is so gracious to me. My life is so much more gratifying, since I became a real Christian some years ago. It is also tested alot more. Ahem!

Well, I will close for the moment. Just wanted you to know. I always feel, that there is safety in numbers.

Enjoyed reading your bio, and thankful to know that we have something (much more important in common).

I am currently visiting my daughter, in the Shenandoah Valley area, Virginia, and am helping out with her three (3) children. Being a GrandMa can be especially challenging! Ha! Ha! Jack is 10, Julia is 6, and Ashley is 4. Jack has ADHD, and Ashley is Autistic, so each day to me teaches me something new.

It's been nice chatting with you. Do take care, and May the Tender Love of Jesus Christ protect You Today and Always,

In Jesus Name,

DIANA       (DIANA QM)
