Crafting, mostly beading

I love to bead, it is by far the most relaxing thing that I can do. If I've had a hard and stressful day it only takes a few minutes of working on a project and the stress melts away. I love the shimmer and the color of the wide variety of beads on the market. My dream one day is to own and operate a beading store in my area. It would bring me great joy to teach people how to make their own jewelry and beaded items.

My favorite project that I worked on was a V W Bug emblem. I took the look of the emblem and designed a beaded emblem that could be hung on the rear view mirror. It is the one piece that I am most proud of, even tho it was simple it has a huge impact when you look at the piece.

On-Loom beading is my favorite way to bead. It gives you the quickest gratification. After working just a few rows you see instant results. The other style I use a lot is a circular peyote stitch. I find myself cover everything thing from pens to dowel rods with this stitch.

I can see a bead pattern or beading idea from just about anything. Something as simple a color of ink from a pen sends my mind into a tailspin of beading possibilities. My closest friends always laugh and say I need to join a support group that will help me with my addiction, lol.

My favorite place to bead is on my couch in front of the TV.

I try and buy from local stores as much as possible. Recently i have started to buy on line from Fire Mountain Gems. Great company with great prices.

The only thing I can say about me is I'm a friend till the end and I am as honest as the day is long. If I'm upset you will know it because my emotions are a open book for everyone to see. Some people call me a B**ch but the reason they do is I don't put up with foolish things. I've had a hard life, not by my own actions but by someone elses hand. It has made me cautious and not to willing to let people is my circle. In a nut shell I am who I am and if you don't like me that's ok.
