I make jewelry in my home using a variety of materials, some of which are sterling silver, glass beads, Swarovski crystal, lampwork glass (some are self made) and vintage lucte (one of my personal favorites). I have been making jewelry for about 4 years and I just love it. If I am not out walking my dog you will find me in my studio creating something new. There are endless possibilities as far as I am concerned. The only thing holding you back is your own imagination. This all began as just a hobby. My Mom was ill and in the hospital. In order to help pass the time I would bring my tin can of beads and we would create some braceletes and earrings. When my co-workers saw what I had created some of them asked me to make things for them as well. Naturally I obliged. I worked in a dental office at the time, so patients would see them and ask me to make things also. One day I suddenly found myself without a job. What was I going to do? I was devastated to say the least. In order to keep myself busy (and my hands out of the cupboards) I began making more and more jewelry. I gave them as gifts to family and friends but soon I had so much I ran out of people to give them to. So I began selling at craft fairs and eventually made myself a website. Now here I am!!! I have my own business selling jewelry on-line and also selling jewelry using the party plan system. It works out great. It gets me out of the house, and my hostesses love it. It is an alternative to other brand name pricier companies and my pieces are one of a kind mostly and you get to take your purchases home that evening. There is no waiting for delivery dates.
