DUH- Jewelry!
Intelligence, honesty, open-mindedness, confidence, and a general willingness to believe that I am, after all, some pretty hot stuff. ;)

Opinionated idiots. Bad grammar. Body odor. People who just, in general, suck.

Anything I didn't have to cook.

I will always admire my mother who knew the time to put down her paintbrush and move on to motherhood in faith and hope that someday, when her little ones are grown with art in their veins, the paintbrush will be waiting and she will have lost nothing.

My friend Christina S. is amazing.

Natural and vintage, eye-catching pieces that set off my pale skin. Love intense color and earth tones.
|
|
The kind with covers and pages with words and/ or pictures on them.

Rock, Alternative, Preferably not the homogenous whiny anti-conformist conformity that's all over the 10-19 year old set right now. Give me something with a soul behind it.

My husband is a movie fanatic. Some I like, some I could live without. I haven't seen anything in years that really moved me, though.

Jewelry, writing, art, crafts, coming up with new ways to coax words out of my daughter who at age six still stubbornly refuses to speak.

It relaxes me while giving me something to focus on. I don't like being idle, there's always something in my hands whether it's one of my kids, a chore, a craft project a story I'm writing, a book I'm reading a picture I'm drawing or something completely silly and frivolous.

I love making jewelry and when a piece turns out just right I feel a tremendous sense of accomplishment. When others look at my work and say "I Love That! Where did you get it?" I love being able to answer that I made this.

I'm pretty clueless, I do what works and I'm always trying to learn something new.

Books, magazines and my bead drawers. I just start laying things out until they catch my eye and imagination. I have so many random beads and charms laying around waiting for the right arrangement! I drive my husband nuts! I love very classic looks and styles but with my own twist and my favorite materials are natural stone, wood, and shell. I like the feel of the beads in my hands and many of my pieces reflect some symbolic emotion or story told in my choice of stone, color and placement.

Anywhere but a moving car.

Wherever I find them. My options are limited since I live in a pretty literal one-horse-town and I can't stand the WalMart which is our only major store, but when I'm driving around in a big town I look for places and tend to drop in at random.

I think I made macaroni necklaces as a little kid. My first solid memory though was of finding some old chunky super-flawed glass beads left over from a macrame project in a yard sale box and stringing them into a bracelet. I think I was 9 or 10.
