Have always liked crafting, whether it was doodling with pencils, cross-stitch, painting birdhouses...the list is fairly long. Found beading not too long ago and have really enjoyed learning and trying out new patterns! Joined a local group and we get to spend a very relaxing evening once a week just visiting and sharing new projects and ideas.

A Choctaw inspired, netted collar...way too ambitious for a beginner but I love how it turned out...in spite of all the "do-overs". =)

Netted beadwork seems to be the first thing to catch my eyes when looking for my next project. That doesn't mean I don't enjoy many other styles!

Friends, nature and endless hours on the internet. It is hard to tear myself away from all of the great finds and actually settle on one project.

I like to keep a small fishing tackle box with enough supplies for a few projects ready to go. I take this with me when I know I will have downtime during the occasional trip away from home.

In front of my computer...watching a video tutorial on a new style. I like being able to access these at any time of the day, as it means I am not locked into a rigid schedule. Especially nice when I get the bead-bug in the middle of a sleepless night!

Auntie's Beads, Fire Mountain Gems, Shipwreck Beads and my favorite...thrift stores and yard sales.

A pair of brick stitch chandelier earrings...the first project I learned with my beading group, Intertribal Arts and Crafts.
