I am 51, separated and I have 2 grown daughters and 3 grandchildren. Pixie Dust Fineries is one of those magical things that just happen to me. In January 2007, I lost my job due to health problems. In October, I still did not have a job and no income and wondered what to do for Christmas gifts for the family.
I have always loved jewelry and I love the relationship that women have with their jewelry. It makes us feel beautiful, feminine, and powerful. It affects us in many ways, and even if a piece does not cost thousands of dollars, it is still precious to us. My biggest goal in jewelry making is to design something that becomes somebody's most treasured possession.
I began creating jewelry for my family for gifts and was hooked on the joy in the eyes of the receiver. In January 2009, I began selling my jewelry full time and opened my Etsy shop in March 09.
As an Artisan Jewelry Designer, I have developed a wide range of necklaces, bracelets, earrings and miscellaneous other designs using the best materials available, however Swarovski® Crystals are my favorite. Therefore, I try to incorporate crystals in most all of my designs.
