Sparkle

I have just started adding beads to string crochet patterns for table mats, etc.

I like to string crochet for table cloths, table mats, etc. I found a pattern in an old book that incorporated beads into the crochet pattern, and decided to try it. Unfortunately, I used a heavier string than the pattern called for, so I had to modify the way I wove the beads in, and had to drop the outside row of seed beads, large beads, and teardrops. Even with the problems, I was pleased with the project (see gallery), and have decided to continue with more crochet bead projects using a finer string. I am looking for more unique ways to add beads to designs.
