Beads, in the right place, in the right tone, can make a humdrum item sparkle and take on a life of its own -- I've had people come to me to design an outfit BECAUSE of the beading I have added.

Keep a wide variety of beads, and really LOOK at them often -- I have been inspired to design a whole garment from a handful of beads.

craft fairs

My mother introduced me to this wonderful craft in my 10th summer, along with sewing. I made a simple pink apron with a red and white pocket and then beaded white beads in the red squares, and red beads in the white squares. I have been including beads in my garments (well most of them) ever since. I now design clothing and incorporate beads whenever I can, especially to dress up embroidered items that need "umph."

I have a passion about Panda Bears -- one was given to me in high school by my best friend, and they've been in my heart ever since.
